A short description of the album:
The Prison: A Book with a Soundtrack (1974) by Michael Nesmith is an experimental multimedia concept album paired with a 64-page novella. It is a spiritual, metaphorical story where the protagonist, Jason, discovers that his confinement is a self-imposed, psychological construct. It explores themes of enlightenment, consciousness, and liberation from mental, rather than physical, incarceration.
