Picture Discs are generally for promotional purposes and are usually pressed in small quantities. They come in various shapes and sizes and are sought after by collectors.
In general the sound quality of a picture disc is not as good as a standard vinyl. Although this is more than made up for by the look as you can see many of Michael's and the Jackson’s picture discs contain some really great artwork and some are made purely for display purposes. Some collectors even frame them or display them on there walls.
