Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP - Standard Music Library - Solo Guitar, featuring music and compositions by Michael Chapman. A mono release, it was issued in the UK in 1969 by the Standard Music Library and it has the catalogue number ESL 103.
Record Condition - Very Good - The record is relatively bright and clean but there are a few light surface marks and scuffs but no worrying scratches. Having listened to both sides, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking but the odd click will be heard along with a moderate amount of background crackle during both sides.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Original front laminated sleeve with no splits or tears. However, light wear is present, including minor creasing and disc impression marks. Large pictures of both sides of the disc and sleeve are available on request.
History - Something of a collectible rarity, this is an album of library sample music, which was presumably produced as potential backing music for film and television. Instrumental throughout, most of the tracks have a bluesy feel, although not exclusively so. Michael Chapman was in the early stages of his long career when recording the tracks for this record, which was produced in the same year as his own official debut album, Rainmaker. If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting.
