Description
This is a rare Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Test Pressing of The Band’s commercially released “Music From Big Pink” with side A and side B on separate disks. It is MFSL number 1-039, A-2 and A-3 on one disk and B-4 and B-5 on the other disk. Overall these records are in good condition. There are a couple of very minor surface scratches which we couldn’t hear on our turntable. They are packaged in the original MFSL rice paper inner sleeves, and the correct outside blank cardboard dust jacket. Somebody wrote “Dead” on the blank, white dust jacket in red pen. We will be very careful when we package it for shipping.
All of our MFSL records need to be professionally cleaned. We did not do this because if you don’t do it with the proper equipment you can damage the record.
If you’ve never heard a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Test Pressing, it really is a rare treat. It is amazing how much more you can hear when compared to a normal record.
Shipping will be $8.00 within the US. Insurance will be extra.
We have several more test pressings to auction. There will be more to come over the next few weeks. We have some real gems like Thelma Houston and Pressure Cooker from 1975 and an acetate demo of two Tiny Tim tunes that were never released.
We can only accept Paypal for this one. Buyer must pay within 48 hours of end of auction or the item will be relisted. We have a 100% positive Ebay rating and hope to keep it that way. No returns accepted unless we made a gross error in our description.
