RARE- Unplayed Early Pressing Demonstration Disc

This is a rare special copy of an out of print Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs limited edition audiophile quality from the original master tapes. Pressed at the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) on Super Vinyl at half speed only a limited number of pressings were made to preserve the integrity of the mold to transfer superior sound. I worked in the record and Hi-Fi industry during the peak of MFSL times. As a manger of a Stereo store I received special early release pressings from MFSL for in-store demo. The MFSL sales rep assured me that these were the best, earliest pressings that MFSL could produce and that these were to help sell the concept prior to each album release. Several of these Demo – only records made their way into my large personal record collection.

THIS COPY HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED.

The Demo versions were specially marked (see picture) and none were sealed so the retailer could not re-sell them. Each title quickly became highly sought after by collectors. This copy was mastered and cut using the Ortofon system and that is hand engraved in the inner vinyl ring. Everything about these albums is top notch, from the sound to the packaging. Each album is packed in a specially constructed heavy duty album jacket supported by a rigid cardboard stiffener with a static free “rice paper” inner sleeve.

 MFSL JAPAN JVC Super Vinyl LPs have been Out of Print for over two decades and are some of the finest and most valuable vinyl masterpieces ever produced.

These titles set the standard of what would become known as Audiophile. The expense that went into these original MFSL Pressings has never been duplicated.

The label is MFSL 1-075 (Out of Print).

The condition of the record is mint- NOS.

The bottom of the jacket is starting to show a small split from the weight of the disc. The rest of the jacket has bright colors and no creases with some normal corner wear. This album has been properly stored in a smoke free environment for 20+ years.
