Her husky, full voice signifies early '80s radio and is still unforgettable. The sixteen-song collection starts with her 1981 single "Bette Davis Eyes." This song initiated a string of hits that kept her on the world's charts through 1986. Included here is a duet with Kenny Rogers, another gravel-voiced legend. This is a sparse, piano-introduced ballad from Rogers' 1980 Gideon, a concept album on a modern cowboy. Basically, this collection is an album reissue with six bonus tracks. The Mistaken Identity (1981) album contributes the first ten tracks of bouncy synth-pop, such as its title track and "Don't Call It Love." Other songs, like the acoustic guitar-led "When I'm Away From You," the hard rock "Break the Rules Tonite (Out of School)," and the piano and mandolin lament "My Old Pals" expose different facets of this pop talent. The until-recently-defunct "Mobile Fidelity Labs" audiophile album vinyl pressings were not only analogue, audiophile masterpieces and connoisseur delights, they have become true pieces of audio history and lore. These majestic recordings received a meticulous and laborious treatment like no other recordings in the entire history of the recorded sound. They are characterized by the massively extended dynamic and frequency range, mastering from the very first generation of original master tapes, almost compulsive attention paid to the detail and integrity of the pressing, and the highest quality of the material (only the "virgin-", audiophile-grade vinyl was used, and most of the titles were pressed by RCA/Victor and/or Warner-Pioneer corporations of Japan, both known for their near-obsessive attention paid to the fine sonic detail and audio craftsmanship); a special proprietary  technology was used to achieve analogue-like, warm, translucent, radiant, vivid and all-encompassing sound. To this day, many of these recordings remain unsurpassed, delivering music reproduction as close to the actual recording session as possible, without any loss of musical information inherent in the standard practice of mastering from the inferior "production" copies.  EVER SINCE THE MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LABS TEMPORARILY CLOSED IN DECEMBER OF 1999 (ONLY TO REOPEN IN 2003), THESE RECORDINGS HAVE BEEN ESCALATING IN VALUE AND DEMAND.

The Cover/Booklet includes the complete original artwork, linernotes and Photos from the ORIGINAL-LP/RECORD. The cover has none seamsplit, none dents and none cracks .... the corners are not damaged, .... maybe small initials inside of cover = woc ..... (not visible from outside) . It is not a cut-out.
