The Band---Music From Big Pink---VG+
I just don't get it. Am I insane? This LP has been on E-Bay now for what? 3 weeks? 50 years ago I would have jumped on it (but then I already had it in numerous versions). I mean this is "The Band". Does no one remember them? Am I to old to know what's going on? I guess that the "60s are history except for the Beatles. Too bad.
Remember Frank Zappa? (just an aside).
Has nobody seen "The Last Waltz"?
What planet am I living on?
PS: I've just started selling on E-Bay again to pass on my collection. I have a fireplace and will burn this one so that it will live in whatever reality we do not live in. Am I insane? Probably.
There are some LPs that when you hear them for the 1st time you know you will be listening to it for the rest of your life. For me this is one of them. Every time I hear "The Weight" I see Peter Fonda and Jack in "Easy Rider". Some things just stay with you for life. Hope you feel some of what I feel for this LP. One other song blows me away and that's "I Shall Be Released", maybe my favorite Dylan song. This is the best version of it (my opinion).
No flaws that I could detect on side 1. The 1st song on Side 2 "We Can Talk" does have 2 ticks at the very end before the trail-off into song 2 and a few more pops at the beginning of song 2. I see no flaws in the vinyl such as a scratch so a few plays may actually "polish" that section. It's been over 20 years since this LP was played if my brother played it at all. I test played both sides.
The gatefold cover has a slight "chip" on the top back above the "I" in Original. This LP is in overall fantastic condition but I describe everything as well as I can . This will be the last one for tonight.
I've started the LPs listed tonight with LOW opening bids and no reserve, for what they are anyway. Could be your chance to snap one up at a decent price.

My grading system: There is No Mint or Mint- in my grading. Nothing is perfect in this reality so VG+ is as high as I go.
That means that you just bought this LP and opened it without playing it!.
Sealed---Basically unknown condition until you open it. VG+---No damage, no smudges and perfect sound. (I'm adding VG++ for exceptional condition LPs) VG---Maybe slight surface noise but still "like new". G---A playable LP with surface noise, some pops but no skips and worthy of a serious collection. G-/---Basically the same as G but RARE and will only be listed when playable without distortion.
The same grading will go with Covers and inserts and will be described in detail.
I ship and leave positive feedback the same day the auction ends as long as the Post Office is open.
