MF DOOM presents a collection of some of the most beloved beats he produced in the early stages of his solo career (post KMD). Here you’ll find instrumentals from “OPERATION: DOOMSDAY” (songs renamed here) as well as other singles. Many of these instrumental beats have a heavy funk and soul influence and use samples from these genres.

An amazing album for people who love MF DOOM, music production, hip-hop beat making, or instrumental albums.


Special Herbs, Vol. 1 is the first album in the Special Herbs series of instrumental works released by MF Doom under the Metal Fingers moniker on various independent hip hop labels. Establishing the trend for later albums in the series, each track is named after a herb or similar flora (with the possibly ironic exception of mass-produced flavour enhancer monosodium glutamate).
