METALLICA GOLD DISC BPI AWARD

 

THE BLACK ALBUM

 

FOR SALES IN THE UNITIED KINGDOM

OF MORE THAN 100,000 COPIES OF THE ALBUM BEING SOLD.

I purchased this BPI gold disc about eighteen years ago from an advert in record collector and this is a very rare item. About the disc: the front is not glass it’s Perspex, the reason for this is when these awards were sent in the post to whoever was going to receive them, the glass got broken a lot in the post so the company that made them decided to use Perspex.  Please note, this has light scratches on it, also the gold frame has slight scratches - please see pictures. I did not meet and do not know the person the gold disc was presented to.

I brought this gold disc because I love Metallica and it’s had pride of place in my lounge.  This is a must for any true Metallica fan.
