"It was found that master recordings/master disks  could be made so that the resulting record would sound better. Master disk are subjected to further electronic treatment by a specialist .  This is done by making fine adjustments to the amplitude of sound at different frequency bands (equalization) & then applied to one master disk which was used to reproduce several thousands of records"
