Description
Rare true first pressing of Metallica's first album, Kill 'Em All, on Megaforce silver label. Sterling Sound stamp in runoff. No barcode. This is a real first pressing, from when they were just a local garage band. Just in case anyone is interested, I'll tell you I got this record from Cliff Burton at Ruthie's Inn in Oakland, where they were playing that night with Slayer. Ruthie's was just a little club, so you can guess how early this was. I used to see them all the time at parties and small shows in those days, and Cliff was very friendly with me because I would talk to him about fishing, which he was really into. Anyhow he promised me a copy of the record and gave it to me. Just to give the story... Anyhow the disc is in truly excellent condition. A couple of light scuffs, maybe, but it plays NM. A great sounding copy. And you know the original Sterling pressing is the best version ever! Really a great sounding record. Anyhow the cover has some slight wear. There is some edgewear and cornerwear, but not bad. There is also a scrape on the front, which happened the night I got the record, when I was holding it in the audience and a drunk thrasher nicked it with his spiked wristband! Anyhow the cover is still perfectly intact and looks pretty good. A rare copy of this all-time metal classic. I hate to get rid of it...
