Description
Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the debut Metallica album Kill Em All, originally released on Megaforce Records (MRI 069) in 1983:
-Guaranteed original first pressing, NOT reissue -Original silver Megaforce labels -STERLING mastering stamp in deadwax
-Still in opened factory shrink wrap -No UPC/bar code on cover -Vinyl comes in audiophile protective inner sleeve
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition, still protected by original shrink wrap. No ring wear, no seam splits. Has some light wear, creasing, and a few tiny chips along right open seam and open corners rubbed (see photos). Shrink is in great condition, looks shiny and clean, with a couple tiny tears at open edge (see photos). Corners are very good.
Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl is very nice, still retains its original shiny gloss. Both sides look very clean, no apparent scratches or scuffs, perhaps some superficial shadows from taking vinyl out of inner sleeve a few times. Side One, Track 2 shows a very small rubbing spot at certain angles, but does not affect playback quality in any way. Labels are clean, unmarked, no signs of significant wear. Looks like this record has been played only a couple times previously but handled with care. Grade: Excellent (EX)

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
