Two years ago, I had the good fortune to buy the complete music collection of one of the two directors of the Australian label, Regular Records, including a huge storage space containing the entire Regular Records Archives. I sold a few odd items about a year ago, and the (huge!) balance has remained untouched...until now. It's time to get amongst it all and pull out some nice items...so here goes.

The Archives was loaded with master tapes, video masters, contracts, complete files on each artist...as well as mint copies of virtually EVERY vinyl, CD, and cassette release, plus vinyl test pressings...AND...a few very rare ACETATES!...and this...is one of those.

Comes in its original plain white die-cut card sleeve, with the notation "MENTAL AS ANYTHING    SIDE 1   NIPS" handwritten on it...Disc itself is un-labeled...Just has '2A   1' written on Side One, and '2B' on Side Two. What's completely unique about this is that, while the Side Two track order is identical to the eventual released version, Side One has a different track order! WOW.

The normal track listing is this:

However, on this unique, one-off acetate, the Side One track listing is this:

6. "Talk To Baby Jesus"

7. "Egypt"

I found it amongst a small group of acetates in a box that looked like it hadn't been opened for the 25+ years since the last one had been added to it. It was so heavy and was one of the last boxes I found as it was way at the back under everything else...but it did have the single magic word "ACETATES" scrawled on it. I'd bought the goldmine, and here was the gold! 

The Regular director confirmed that this was the originally-planned track listing, and there was only ever this one acetate done of it, and, as far as he recalls, it never even made it to test pressing stage. So this is utterly unique.

Please note that I'll take special care in packing this.

CONDITION:

COVER / RECORD: ( EX / M-) ...disc is basically perfectly mint-looking...no marks on it at all...very shiny!...

Combining Postage

...take note: 
..postage costs come down considerably per LP/12" if you happen to win more than one...(for instance, to the UK/USA/Europe, etc., winning extra LPs/12"s means adding AU$6.90 extra postage for the second, and even less for a third....or AU$2.00 within Australia for each extra LP)...
