WELCOME! I Work in a record store in Texas and I am going to be selling off some of my collection, I am starting off small but I do have all positive feedback for records and other items as you can see. This week I'm offering a real mixed-bag of rare items, 7inches 12inch singles and LPs, mostly private press obscurities.


For auction is: Menique - Presenta La Orquesta Tropical. Tropical Magic Ent. TM 1001. 1979. Private press, limited to 500-1000 copies. Vocals and Production by Menique, also Harry Vera. With Kako on Conga and Quinto.
     !!! This is an amazingly rare and excellent piece of Latin Salsa, Cumbia, Guaguanco style music, perfect for the obscure collector of latin music.  The only other place I have ever seen this record for sale is over at salsayguaguanco.com for 300.00 euros, and the guy is a true afficienado of latin music. Please give a listen to the sound clip, it's 6 minutes, featuring three tracks from the eight on the album.  The entire record is similiar to the tracks presented, and I really hate to part with this record but I don't collect latin stuff. !!!
        The tracks are: 1. El Merengue 2. Senora 3. Cuentos De Amor 4. Bom Boncito 5. Con El Quinto Y La Conga 6. La Bese 7. Arrepentido 8. A Mexico Entero. Features Papo Feliciano on Congas, Samuel Castro on Bongos, Jesus Vera on Timbales, Helios Al Facio on Piano, Chuck Velez Bass, and a few more musicians on trumpets, and sax.

***** One note of caution, as you will hear toward the end of the sound clip, there is a minor pressing defect with the record that causes a quiet but audible crackling at the middle to end of the BSIDE. it starts to come in around B2 and peaks at B3, only in the last 3 tracks is it noticeable, and really only in track B3, some B4. the A Side has no crackling present, and the First half of the B-Side doesnt have it either. I dont know what caused this, other than the fact that its a small pressing, but please listen to the CLIP i linked above. Personally, I don't think it effects the sound much, but everyone is different *****


   Vinyl: VG+* (Some mild signs of handling, a few small hairline scratches are present, very minor, a few small  paper scuffs,  visually it is very nice, but as mentioned above there is a slight defect in the recording/pressing of the record which can't be seen visually, it has a quiet but persistent crackling toward the end half of the B-side, with a peak at B3. A1-A4 not affected, B1 not affected, the crackle is not bad though, please check the sound clip.)  

Jacket: VG+ (The Jacket is in good shape but has some ring wear beginning, and someone has taped the edges with slightly noticeable clear tape, but it's well done. Aside from that there is only general wear and it is in pretty good shape, please check the photos.)

I try to Grade conservatively because everyone has different standards.
I use Gold Mine standard grading in ascending order of quality G, G+, VG, VG+, EX, NM, SS(or sealed unplayed).
