My eBay name is 'punky_music' and I'm a full-time record dealer since nearly 30 years
Very clean original first pressing in clear vinyl, released in 1979. As you know second pressings were born in different picture sleeve and issued on black vinyl. Old eBay prices: £18 + £17 + £18 + €19. An absolute beauty this one, topped with fantastic lyrics. Your record collection is definitely not complete if you don’t have this British model. You are bidding on the second 7” release by the MEMBERS. Issued on ‘Virgin’ records (catalogue number VS 242). ‘The Sound Of The Suburbs’ includes all elements of a classic song. The B-sider named ‘Handling The Big Jets'. To add to the appeal of this outstanding item is a photocopied advert. This advert is taken from an old NME-magazine from the same year (1979). Both tracks were produced by Steve Lillywhite who also produced records from bands like ULTRAVOX (Rockwrok + Young Savage) U2 (Sunday Bloody Sunday + New Years Day) XTC, SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES and so on. In lovely condition.

Mailing / Versand: all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits (alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden). All records will be shipped in special record mailers. Two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending. Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt.
Payment / Bezahlung: via PayPal. All orders outside Germany which exceed a value of €12 or £11 or $13 will only be sent by registered mail. This requires the buyer to pay an additional of €2,50 or £2.50 or $3.00. All winners from Italy must pay for registered mail. Deutsche per Banküberweisung oder PayPal.
