Description
Welcome to my listing.
Up for sale is copy of this EXTREMELY RARE and difficult to find original soundtrack LP titled:
Mel Brooks' Movie Music: Blazing Saddles,
The Producers and 12 Chairs.
Music by John Morris, Mel Brooks
and featuring vocals by Frankie Lane & Madeline Khan.
This recording was released in Australia (only!) on Warner Bros, Records, in 1976 (BS 2781)
The condition of the vinyl is Near Mint (no scuffs, marks or scratches), and I would rate the sleeve as Very Good+. In fact, it's in fantastic condition for a 40 years old record!
(See photos of the actual copy I am selling from my personal collection)
A True Classic and rare Soundtrack from the 70's
and an absolute must for collector's of film soundtracks, or fans of Mel Brooks or Madeline Khan.
I have noticed other copies on eBay which have starting prices of $500, which truly reflects the rarity and value of this album!
Blazing Saddles was vulgar, crude, and occasionally scandalous in its racial humor. An obvious and hilarious bad-taste spoof of old Westerns, co-written by Richard Pryor, it features Cleavon Little as the first black sheriff of a stunned town, scheduled for demolition by an encroaching railroad. Little and co-star Gene Wilder have great chemistry, and the delightful supporting cast includes Harvey Korman, Slim Pickens, and Madeline Kahn, as a chanteuse modelled on Marlene Dietrich. An absolute classic.
Any questions, feel free to email. THANKS!
