"MEET THE METS" - The Original ThemeSong for the Amazin' Mets! Released only a week after it was recorded on March 1, 1963. Written by Ruth Roberts and Bill Katz, who also had hits with "A Beautiful Day For a Ball-Game" and "Mr. Touchdown". It was recorded by Glenn Osser and his Orchestra. Original Souvenir of The All-New National League New York Team, The Metropolitans! More popularly know as the Mets, Casey Stengel's original 1962 "AMAZIN' METS" lost an all-time 120 games! Trying to spur on the fans to join the "New Home Team", The Mets Organization issued this special .45 7" VINYL RECORD prior to the '63 Season. The Mets were playing at the POLO GROUNDS still, with Shea still being built. The record was sold for $1.00. A-Side of the record is "Meet the Mets". B-Side has "Meet the Mets" (Instrumental Version).
