  • Hi, welcome to my auction !
  • I have a 1964 very rare first pressing mono LP of "Meet The Beatles" that is stamped on the back " Free Promotional Album Not To Be Sold ".
  • I know it's a first pressing because Capitol records were in such a hurry to release this album in January 1964, that they printed the record labels without performance rights, (BMI - ASCAP) , listed after each track. All later pressings would show for example: "All My Loving"  (ASCAP 2:04). This 1st pressing just shows "All My Loving" (2:04) .
  • I have played the record and it sounds pretty good considering it's age. Tracks 3 & 4 on side two are a little more scratchy than the rest of the LP but still play fine.
  • I don't know much about records but in my opinion this one is in pretty good shape for it's age. The front & back covers of the jacket show some wear, the spine also shows wear but is still intact. The inner sleeve is well worn. I would rate it a 6.5 - 7.0 of 10.
  • The record itself plays start to finish with no skipping.
  • I have to think that a promotional copy of this LP may have some value. I'll let the bidders decide, no reserve !
