PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
INCREDIBLY RARE record club pressing variant from 1969? on Capitol's green target label with RIAA gold record award emblem on the front cover near the opening on the right hand side, unique catalog number with an extra digit in parenthesis under the parent number to the right of the center hole on the labels, the number 16 in the bottom right hand corner on the rear cover, three black bars in the top right hand corner on the rear cover, small MADE IN USA in a circle in the bottom left hand corner on the rear cover, "Manufactured Under License" in the lower label rim text and W1 2 IIII/W1 2 III etched in the dead wax, respectively, on sides one and two!!! Release year is unclear as there isn't a single entry for this pressing anywhere in the massive, sprawling Discogs database whatsoever. Definitely not a hybrid pressing as the layout and font on both labels match perfectly. I have had dozens of green label club pressings pass through my hands in 45+ years of collecting and selling and I have never seen this variant before. Off-the-charts rare. Anyone with any info on this one please get in touch as I'm stumped. LP is VG++ with a few light paper scuffs. Cover is VG/VG+ with a small 1" piece of thin transparent tape at the top middle. Incredibly rare so don't sleep Fab collectors.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
