I AM MOVING HOUSE SHORTLY AND HAVE TO RAISE SOME FUNDS TO HELP WITH THE MOVE. THEREFORE, AND SADLY (FOR ME!) I’M OFFERING SOME CHOICE ITEMS FROM MY OWN COLLECTION, MOST OF WHICH ARE IN BRILLIANT CONDITION.

THE MC5 – Back In The USA ORIG Atlantic LP 240 0016 (UK, Stereo, 1970)
Happy to present from 1970, and in amazing condition, The Motor City 5’s second long player in its original UK press on the plum Atlantic label.
Matrices: 2400016 – A1 / B1
The single format, fully laminated sleeve is in fabulous and true (!)EX (Excellent) condition. No splits, tears, writing, residue or breaking of the laminate. Spine is strong and unworn with all text legible and showing little compression. No real edge rubs to either top or bottom and corners are still 90%+ sharp. No creasing on the rear, 2 small ‘thumb’ creases to the front, that’s it for creasing. There’s a thin line of laminate lift next to the spine, front and reverse and faint evidence of the record impression mainly to the tops, but overall this is in smashing nick for a sleeve which recently celebrated its 40th birthday!
The original plum & orange record labels have to be seen to be believed. It’s such a pleasure to set eyes on vintage labels as fresh as these. There is ONE spindle trail per side (and that hardly visible and close to the centre hole). The colour retains full vibrancy and just looks lovely and of course there is no writing, dirt marks, stickers or residue. An incredible pair of labels which look like they’ve only just seen the light of day! Lovely!
The sharp, mediumweight vinyl complements the labels perfectly with superb shine and unblemished surfaces. There are no scratches, no scuffs, no dents, no dust pockets or embedded dirt. This record is completely unmarked bar one very fine hairline (not long) to one side only. I have to grade it M- (Mint Minus) because that’s exactly what it is: near to mint. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays like new, repeat, like new. That is to say there is no crackle, no snap, clicks ticks or pops. The audio has close to CD silence with no distortion or loss of clarity. Perfect playback on this most important of vintage rock albums – not many will live up to this.
Also supplied in its original poly lined inner stating the correct date code of 0770 (July 1970), this will surely delight the most stringent collector. No reserve.
