Description
For sale is an exceedingly scarce Maybele Carter demo reel-to-reel of some kind. I found at the estate of the Bruno Family of Bethesda, Maryland, which, according to the estate executors, were friends of Virginia's singing Carter Family. This unusual item is recorded on Scotch magnetic tape, and has a track listing sticker on the back from Johnny Cash's own "House of Cash" recording studio. The client is hand-written as "Columbia", and the track listing, comprised of four tracks, includes: Bells of St. Mary's; Never on Sunday; Tennessee Waltz and Red Wing. Nice!
