1947 wire recordings made by MAYA DEREN in Haiti. Some of the first recordings ever made during religious ceremonies near Croix des Missions and Petionville. These selections serve as a soundtrack to the film she shot there ( DIVINE HORSEMEN ) from 1947-1951 documenting Voodoo ceremonies and festivals.
ORIGINAL issue with red cover, this record is not easily found these days.
