MAY BLITZ - THE 2ND OF MAY
Very rare 1971 stereo UK original first pressing LP on swirl label. Catalogue number 6360037. Matrix numbers: Side one: 6360037 1Y//1 420 123 Side two: 6360037 2Y//1 420 113 Gatefold sleeve with swirl inner sleeve. RECORD CONDITION: EXCELLENT+. Just the lightest traces of the record having been removed and replaced into it's inner sleeve and then only visible under bright, angled light. The labels are clean, without stains or writing and show just a few spindle traces when examined with a magnifying glass.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EXCELLENT+. The unlaminated gatefold sleeve shows minimal evidence of handling with no tears, stains or writing. The spine is straight, square and uncompressed with all text completely clear and legible. The predominantly white exterior of the sleeve is very clean with no creases and only the lightest traces of fading near the edges. The inner of the gatefold is again, very clean and I noted one light crease which is hardly noticeable. The original 1971 dated swirl inner is in excellent condition with just a couple of light creases and minor browning near the edges.
AUDIO GRADING: I play grade records fully using a high quality moving coil cartridge. This LP plays superbly with strong, distortion free sound and near faultless playback throughout both sides. There was a noticeable absence of pops or crackles and virtually no background noise.
Records are graded to Record Collector Grading System definitions.
PACKING: All records are cleaned on a professional quality record cleaning machine and placed into a new poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner will be included. Record covers are put into a pvc outer sleeve and the record removed from the cover to prevent seam splits. The record will be posted in a new cruciform record box with additional stiffeners.
