MAX MERRITT AND THE METEORS – SHAKE EP – Parlophone GEPO 70033.
This is a hard to find 7” EP from NZ / Aussie music legend Max Merritt. This EP dates from 1966. As far as I can work it out playing alongside Merritt are – PETER WILLIAMS (Guitar) / BILLY CHRISTIAN (Bass) / BRUNO LAWRENCE (Drums).
TRACKS: I Can’t Help Myself / I Want So Much To Know You (written by Merritt) / Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah / Shake.
The record is in G+++ condition. A little noise in the run in grooves but after that the sound is quite strong. An enjoyable listen. The cover is VG(+). Has some ringwear and light storage wear and a couple of small marks on the front. Some small spots of edge wear. No tears, splits or creases. A very tidy copy of this quite scarce EP.
