Description
Here's the original first pressing of Mezzanine circa 1998, made in the EU. This auction also includes two 12" promo 4-track EPs (also from 1998) for Teardrop and Angel (with remix work courtesy of Mad Professor and others).
Mezzanine:
The vinyl is VG++ (super shiny vinyl with a few light sleeve marks).
The cover and inserts are VG+ (Tricky to grade this due to the 90's sized promo punch hole and light crease in the top corner, which is also through the inner sleeves (see photos). However, the cover is still in the original shrink and the inserts are totally clean, no splits, no writing.
Sure, using a punch hole to indicate a promo version (where a sticker or embossed lettering would do better) is a little crude. However, what may be lost through the hole may be gained by knowing this LP was from the first run of production, indicated by matrix stampers: (Side A) WBRLP 4 A-1-1-1, (Side B) WBRLP 4 B-1-1-1, and so on.
Teardrop:
The vinyl is VG+>+ (super shiny vinyl with some light sleeve marks).
The cover is VG+ (slight corner wear, small top center seam and center spine bump, no full splits, no writing). https://www.discogs.com/Massive-Attack-Tear-Drop/release/324934
Angel:
The vinyl is VG++ (super shiny vinyl with a few light sleeve marks).
The cover is VG+>+ (some storage wear, a couple of errant marks, no splits, no writing).
