A very unusual pressing variation is offered for sale here. Please read below for full details.
Mary Hopkin 1971 UK 1st Apple DEMO pressing of the 'Water, Paper and Clay / Jefferson' 7" single. Released on the 26th November 1971, it comes complete with rare APPLE PICTURE SLEEVE, LABEL ERROR AND TAX CODE ERROR. It is offered here in SIMPLY STUNNING MINT- condition. The vinyl and labels look so amazing this is probably UNPLAYED.
These initial pre-release demo pressings would have usually been given out to important reviewers or radio stations.
Released on the Apple label the a-side features DEMO labels which state DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE and the release date of 26.11.71. The b-side features a standard issue label which is a clear pressing error. The a-side also features an embossed 'PT' tax code (pre VAT) which is clearly another error as this code only existed from November 1962 through January 1963 after which is was replaced. The vinyl is housed within the original Apple picture sleeve which is quite rare by itself as NOT all copies came housed within one (the vast majority simply had a standard black Apple sleeve). A wonderful example of this rare Apple demo with UNIQUE? pressing errors.

Side 1. APPLE 39 A-1U 2 G KT
Side 2. APPLE 39 B-1U 1 G KT
The vinyl is in MINT- condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT++ condition.
