MARY BLACK, CIRCUS, GRAPEVINE LP, VERY RARE VINYL,IRISH Mary Black – Circus
Mary Black (born 22 May 1955, in Dublin) is an Irish singer. She is well-known as an interpreter of both folk and contemporary material which has made her a major recording artist in her native Ireland, and in many other parts of the world. She began singing traditional Irish songs at the age of eight. As she grew older, she began to perform with her siblings (Shay, Michael and Martin Black) in small clubs around Dublin She was also a member of the traditional Irish music band De Dannan. Circus is her seventh solo album, released in 1995.

Side One: The Circus; In A Dream; Wonder Child; Soul Sister; All That Hammering; Donegal Breeze.
Side Two: A Stone’s Throw From The Soul; Free As Stone; Roisin; Looking Forward; Gabriel; Raven In The Storm.
The album is on Grapevine Records, GRALP 014. Matrix side one: GRA LP 014 - A1 (written). Matrix side two: GRA LP 014 - B1 (written).
Released in 1995. UK pressing. Stereo.
Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: very good (quite a few light superficial marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault).
Cover (glossy): very good (corner wear, some ring wear on back, small crease on bottom left - see photos below).
Comes with the original lyric inner sleeves in excellent condition.
The record plays like new no jumps, skips or clicks and hardly a crackle to be heard.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
