Description

This is a very rare original copy of the excellent THE LEGEND IS FOREVER 2LP by MARVIN GAYE on American Media Records from 1985.  A very special tribute to the legendary singer/songwriter intended for radio broadcast the week of April 1, 1985; the one year anniversary of Marvin Gaye's death.  This program includes Marvin's great songs interspersed with biographical notes, commentary and rare interview segments from notables such as Hamilton Bohannon.  Also included are the original advertisements, most notably several spots for Donnie's line of black hair care products, including the infamous "Super Curl", set to some nice mid-80s synth funk instrumentals.  One spot has a Zapp-inspired backing track with vocoded lyrics about hair care products!  The vinyl is in glossy MINT- condition.  The cover is in NM condition, as pictured.  Original cue sheets are included.  Don't pass up a great item like this!
