Offered for auction with low start bid and no reserve,here is a very rare copy of Martha Velez' debut album-"Fiends and Angels",an original UK stereo first pressing on London Records SHK 8395.This is a great LP with quite a reputation, as it features a stellar cast of backing musicians including:-Eric Clapton;Jack Bruce;Mitch Mitchell;Paul Kossoff;Brian Auger;Stan Webb;Christine McVie;Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood, amongst others,none of whom are credited on the sleeve for contractual reasons.You can find a full list of the roster of talent present here on the web. The album was produced by Mike Vernon of Blue Horizon fame and is a mixture of bluesy and soulful rock performed with aplomb by Martha Velez,who sounds not unlike Janis Joplin.The accompanying music, as you can imagine is pretty special too. This copy is in very serviceable condition;the half laminated sleeve has only mild ring wear/dulling and one noticeable crease to the lower left hand front corner.Both the top/bottom edges and spine have very little wear.The rear sleeve has some mild ring wear,(please see photos).The record itself rates a solid excellent and sounds great.Original label inner included.EX/EX All records are cleaned and tested using an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine and a Linn Axis turntable.
