DESCRIPTION
Marlene - “I Think Of You With Every Breath I Take” Savoy Records MG 12058 (Mono) from 1956. Hard to find Original 1956 Deep Groove Mono First Press of this great Female Jazz / Pop Vocal album from Marlene (VerPlanck, aka Mar-Lene) with a great backing band featuring Hank Jones, Herbie Mann, Joe Wilder, Kenny Clarke and Wendell Marshall! Supervised by Ozzie Cadena and Recorded and Mastered by Rudy Van Gelder. First Pressing on the Red with Silver Print Deep Groove Savoy Mono Labels. No Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode. The Matrix / Runout Vinyl markings read:

CONDITION
The Sleeve is in worn but okay shape. There is shelf wear and corner softening / wear. There is some “age spotting” and a price in pencil on the back. The bottom seam is part split 2” and taped. The top seam is split and taped. The spine is split. There is a small crease in the lower right corner. Still looks nice and if you keep it in the provided sleeve you won’t notice most of the flaws. I’m calling it VG but take a look and decide. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking fairly lightly played. There are some scuffs and light hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. VG visually but mostly plays better with just some light groove noise and a few random soft tics - may well be improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The Labels show a few light spindle trails and a price tag on side one but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
