Condition : cover only shows a few slight signs of wear, and in the back the imprint left by the removal of a sticker, NEAR MINT / vinyl has a certain number of surface marks which affect listening with slight or moderate clicks, VG not far from vg+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : durante la seconda guerra mondiale Marlene Dietrich registrò per l'O.S.S.(Office of Strategic Services) alcune canzoni di compositori Americani in Tedesco. Il fine era quello di trasmetterle clandestinamente via radio in Germania. Al termine della guerra le bobine magnetiche erano disperse negli immensi archivi dell'O.S.S. ma la Dietrich ne aveva conservato una copia. Così quelle canzoni con nuovi arrangiamenti e la conduzione orchestrale di Jimmy Carroll vennero per la prima volta stampate su disco. Alle canzoni d'origine Americana venne aggiunta la bella ed immancabile Lili Marlene.

Notes : during the Second World War Marlene Dietrich recorded for the O.S.S. (Office of Strategic Services) some songs of American composers in German. The aim was to secretly transmit via radio in Germany. At the end of the war the magnetic tapes were missing in the immense archives of O.S.S. but Dietrich had retained a copy. So those songs with new arrangements and orchestral conducting by Jimmy Carroll were for the first time issued on a 10 inch LP. In addition to the American songs was included the beautiful and ever-present Lili Marlene.
