Mark Hambourg, born June 1 1879, died Agust 26, 1960, was a Russian concert pianist. Studied with his father and later at the Moscow Conservatory. The family moved to London in 1889, mades his debut at the old Princess Hall in July 1890. More studies 1891 with Theodor Leschetitzky in Vienna, begann his first world tour 1895 in Hambourg, 1896 in Paris, Brussels and Berlin, 1898 in the United States. After the World War I, he again took up his programme of world touring, visiting France, South Africa and Canada. Regular provincial tours in Britain. He was the father of the pianist Michael Hambourg ( 1919 - 2004 ).
