Rare first and French only pressing from this legendary soundtrack from the Marcel Camus movie 

Great 1966 avant garde free jazz including the killer track "boat rock", recorded in Paris

Personnel : Marion Brown (alto sax, bells) - Gunter Hampel (vibes,bass clarinet,tree bells) - Ambrose Jackson (trumpet,cow bells, tambour) - 

Barre Phillips (double bass,castanets,whistle) - Steve Mc Call ( drums,triangle)

Original french laminated front and flipback cover

Downgraded because of a paper tear and a very tiny pin hole bottom right

mild corner wear and light wrinkles, year written in blue ballpoint and minor ageing spots on back

Otherwise beautiful front with clear graphics and vibrant colours, spine fully intact,

 NO peeling, NO splits, NO other flaws 

Vinyl: Strong VG+

Vinyl surface look hardly played,

immaculate except for some very light hairlines, nothing feelable 

NO scratches, NO scuffs, NO other flaws.

Vinyl audition: NM

Superb playback

Close to perfect except for very light distortion on the saxophone at the end of side one and side two (maybe due to the pressing)

and two pops also at the end of side one

NO skips, NO ticks, NO other audible flaws

Grading

All gradings are based on thorough visual inspection and a full audition.

The standard scale applies (M*, NM, VG+, VG). 

As a rule Near Mint (NM) is my highest grade. 

* I don't believe in Mint (M) and will only use it in the exceptional case

when absolutely sure to deal with an item from unplayed and untouched stock.
