Description

You are bidding on a very rare LP by MARIANNE FAITHFULL. It is called "North Country Maid" and it was issued in the the UK in 1966. It was released on Decca Records - LK.4778. Original first pressing with grooved unboxed Decca label. With ARL-7169-2A/ARL-7170-1A matrixes, indicating a very first issue. Beautiful female folk with some psychedelic touches by Miss Faithfull, discovered by ROLLING STONES manager Andrew Loog Oldham in 1964. Session musicians include: JON MARK, MICK TAYLOR and BIG JIM SULLIVAN (uncredited). Record includes the song Cockleshells, written by later ROLLING STONES guitarist MICK TAYLOR! Record comes with original innersleeve.
Truly a great keeper's copy. Obviously handled with a lot of love and care.
Songs featured are: Green Are Your Eyes, Scarborough Fair, Cockleshells, The Last Thing On My Mind, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Sally Free And Easy, Sunny Goodge Street, How Should I Your True Love Know, She Moved Thru' The Fair, North Country Maid, Lullaby and Wild Mountain Thyme.
Condition of the sleeve: EX(+) (very slight wear, small slight crease at the opening, tiny number written on back)
Condition of the record: EX++ to Near Mint (probably played only once or twice. Beautiful clean labels.).
