ARTIST / TITLE : MARCO DI MARCO / CHRIS WOODS SEXTET "TOGETHER IN PARIS"

CONDITION (Record/Cover) : M-/M-
COMMENT : Original italian first issue of this top class euro jazz lp, recorded in 1974 for Modern Jazz Record label out of Italy. A sublime session offered by the talented pianist Marco Di Marco and the American alto saxophonist / flautist Chris Woods, backed by the extra-soulful rhythm team of bassist Jacky Sampson and drummer Charles Saudrais, and featuring tasty percussions by Keno Speller (bongos) and Yaffa Seydou (conga). The result is 6 amazing tunes with elements of soul jazz, bossa, and modal rhythms, all into a mix that's as effortlessly grooving as it is sprightly, lyrical, and beautiful. Chris Woods really rises to the occasion here, and delivers some of his most sensitive work on record, playing both alto and flute on the session, alongside a mix of Fender Rhodes and acoustic piano from one of my favorite pianists ever. That contains the always big jazz bossa club track "Bossa with regards" & the atmospheric jazz "Theme for Ginevra"... If you have never heard this gem before, check the sound clip below for a discovery of this true masterpiece.
A sought after and hard to find LP, here in top shape. Record and gatefold sleeve are both in perfect archive condition.

EX = Record in superb condition, very rarely played, may present slight visible marks but no audible ones. Sleeve may present slight signs of natural aging.
VG+ = Record is really nice, may present a few visible marks which are slightly audible. Sleeve may present a few flaws like light openings, ringwear...
VG = Record has been played often, presents some visible and audible marks. Sleeve shows noticeable defects like heavy split seam, tears...
VG- = Record doesn't look nice because of general wear, it is in playable condition, but some/all tracks are noisy or click. Sleeve has noticeable general wear.
