Condizioni : copertina con un moderato ring wear ed un pò di pieghette oltre a un certa lieve usura lungo il bordo nel lato d'uscita del disco in particolare su quello del retro; bello stato, EX / il vinile è stato suonato frequentemente dal giradischi che ha lasciato diversi piccoli segnetti. L'ascolto rivela un certo numero di modesti clicchettii e pochi altri di maggior udibilità; discreto stato, VG+

Condition : cover shows a moderate ring wear and some creasing in addition to a certain light edge wear along the opening side in particular on the back, EX  / vinyl has been frequently played by turntable that has left several little scuffs. The listening reveals a certain number of moderate clicks and a few others of greater audibility, VG+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : inizio esplosivo nel primo lato con un piacevole miscuglio di veloci ritmi Messicani e samba Brasiliana. Buon lavoro dei fiati con un assolo del sassofono, briosi i vocalizzi femminili, percussioni notevoli e belle vene jazzeggianti. Il secondo "innominato" brano del primo lato è un ottimo blues guidato dal pianoforte e dal sassofono. Il secondo lato comincia un allegro tema folk Siciliano dov'è presente anche lo scacciapensieri o marranzanu, poi un brano jazz per grossa formazione, un valzer ed infine un tango. 

Notes : explosive beginning in the first side with a nice mixture of sonorities between Mexican fast rhythms and Brazilian samba. Excellent performance by brass instruments with a short sax solo, spirited female vocalizations, remarkable percussions and beautiful jazzy flavors. The second untitled track on the first side is a good blues led by piano and sax. The second side starts with a Sicilian cheerful folk theme also including the sound of marranzanu aka mouth harp, then a jazz tune for big band, a waltz and finally a tango.
