Description
MARC BOLAN & T.REX ZINC ALLOY AND THE HIDDEN RIDERS OF TOMORROW LTD PROMO NO 641
I purchased this album as seen in Picture 2&3, you can see it required a lot of repair to the first fold out section. If you exclude the damage to first section of the tri fold sleeve, the rest of the LP cover was in very good condition. The following was wrong with the front sleeve :
1) The front cover was ripped as seen
2) Working left to right, bar 1, 5, and 6 missing
3) Working left to right, original bar 2, 3 and 4 had come loose from the main cover and had been cellotaped back to the sleeve. Bar 4 had split about 1 1/2" inches from the bottom.
THE 2nd and 3rd OPENING SECTION OF THE COVER have no problems and are in V GOOD Condition.
THE INNER SLEEVE : Fair condition, both bottom & sides are split from removing the record
RECORD is in good to fair condition , as per record collector description, side 2 the label is torn, and has a scrape on track 5
These can be replaced from the standard issue LP which is widely available in better condition than this one.
I HAVE NOW A BETTER COPY OF THIS LP, THE FOLLOWING REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, I LEVELLED OFF THE RIPPED SECTION OF THE 1ST PANEL, AND CREATED A REPLACEMENT SECTION USING THIN CARD AND GLUEING COLOURED PAPER TO IT TO FILL THE GAP. I HAVE COLOUR PHOTO COPIED THE MISSING BARS, GLUEING THESE ON TO SLIM CARDBOARD AND RE GLUEING TO THE SLEEVE. THE DAMAGED ORIGINAL BARS I HAVE REMOVED THE CELLOTAPE AND RE STUCK TO THE PANEL BY ADDING SUPPORT TO THE BACK OF THE SLEEVE AND THEN GLUEING BACK TO THE MAIN SLEEVE.
Photos Guide Above
Picture 1 : IS HOW IT LOOKS NOW
Photos 2&3 : ARE AS I PURCHASED THE LP, FRONT SECTION BADLY DAMAGED
PHOTOS 4 : SLATS REPAIRED, RE GLUED THE REPAIRED OUTER SECTION TO THE MAIN BODY OF THE SLEEVE
The coloured card\paper although matches well with the back of the front cover, on the front cover itself it is lighter and stands out.
I CAN TAKE FURTHER PHOTOS IF REQUIRED BUT BE AWARE WHEN BIDDING THESE FAULTS AS DESCRIBED, THIS IS NOT A MINT COPY BUT A REPAIRED COPY. IF YOU WANT MORE INFO PLEASE EMAIL ME
I WILL POST 2ND CLASS RECORDED £4.50, IF THE BUYER WANTS ANYMORE INSURANCE I WILL DO SO AND ADD THE COST AT THE END OF THE AUCTION
