MARANATHA- Soon LP, 1971, SELF-RELEASE / PRIVATE PRESSING (etching on trail-off side 1 reads MARANATHA 1100A, side 2 reads MARANATHA 259B) Not to be confused with the other bands of the same name, or for that matter the compilation series.
Although comparisons could be made to groups such as Fraction and Agape, this group's heavy psych/garage sound is probably best summed up in their own words, on the back liner notes:
"seven men who had been entangled in a search for meaning to life; a search for reason. This odyssey touched the paths of mysticism; led us through the sub-culture of drugs; included radical politics. The pilgrimage has ended. We have recieved new life."

Cover is intact but with approx 3 inch split upper right corner, bottom edge holding on but almost completely split (on middle and right side), & 1 & 1/2 inch split upper middle, also with moderate ring-wear and some corner-wear. Vinyl looks great, VG+, however play grading reveals light surface noise sporadically throughout the recording. There are no skips or loud jarring pops. The record still sounds great and the surface noise does not significantly detract from the listening experience, just be forewarned, there is some surface noise! (my suspicion is that most of these imperfections could be taken care of with a Nitty Gritty, but unfortunately i do not have access to one). Full track listing is
