On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Manfred Mann called 'As Is' and is an ORIGINAL 1966 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' Fontana label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS EASILY MANFRED MANNS RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COVER!!!! WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT CAME WITH AN ULTRA RARE 'LOCOMOTIVE' TRAIN COVER (SEE FRONT COVER PICTURE)!!!! HOWEVER - NOT EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WITH THE 'LOCOMOTIVE' PICTURE ON THE COVER FRONT, AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER RELEASE IT WAS WITHDRAWN AND REPLACED WITH THE COMMON 'ALCOVE' COVER THAT 99% OF STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS HAVE!!!! QUITE WHY THIS COVER FRONT WAS CHANGED SO EARLY IN THE 1ST PRESSING RUN REMAINS A MYSTERY - THOUGH IT IS LIKELY THAT IT PROBABLY WASNT 'COOL ENOUGH' - AND WAS REPLACED WITH THE MORE 'OFF THE WALL' ALCOVE COVER (WHICH IS VERY COMMON). ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - WERE EVER PRESSED WITH THIS ULTRA RARE 'LOCOMOTIVE' FRONT COVER PICTURE - AND THIS LP IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN STUNNING CONDITION!!!! THE RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL AND IS IN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CONDITION - AND THE ULTRA RARE 'LOCOMOTIVE' COVER IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Fontana UK 'Earliest' 1st Pressing from 1966 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl!!!! The Cat. No is TL 5377 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' Fontana labels (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!
The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AWESOME!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply AWESOME with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade Excellent++++ if not better!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The ULTRA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press Flipback Laminated 'Locomotive' Cover is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO bottom edge wear AT ALL, only the VERY slightest 'roughening/darkening' to the top edge (NO splits and NO nasty heavy 'fluffy' wear!), NO spinal wear (apart from a slight area of 'roughening' about half way down), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking - with a SUPERB looking front cover picture!), VERY shiny laminate and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
