CUSTOMER SERVICE STATEMENT:

This is my 13th year on eBay and I am excited to be approaching the 1,000 feedback milestone as a private buyer/seller. I take pride in this and have always done my best to be a great eBay member.

My goal is to meet or beat your expectations when you decide to purchase one of my items. I do this in several ways:

1- I package your records OUTSIDE the jackets in a paper sleeve to prevent damage (split seems) during shipment.
2- I package almost all of my 45s in premium resealable poly bags at no extra cost.
3- I grade my items conservatively and make specific note of minor imperfections in the description.
4- I take all my photos at the time of the listing (note the same background on every item). These items haven't been placed on a retail floor or handled in any way. They are promptly returned to their specialized record storage box where they remain untouched until shipment.
5- I take at least TWO photos of most items so that you can feel very confident about the condition of your item and can see any small details and information shown on the jackets.
6- I can usually ship items within 48 hours of payment (not including weekends). As a private collector, I do my best to match the speed of online businesses, even though it means making extra trips on my personal time to the post office.
7- I will, if you can provide minimal evidence, allow a return of an item if it arrives not as described.

What I can't do, under any circumstance, is:

1- I can't ship your item to an address NOT linked to your Paypal account.
eBay will void my seller protection and warns against doing so.

2- I also can't warranty the sound quality of the recordings of every record I sell. Some are major label quality, some are indy budget quality, and others have live/radio broadcast quality (most BBC John Peel Session records, for example). Please do not mistake a less than perfect recording made 25 years ago as a record that has been neglected or abused in some invisible fashion.

What I WILL do:

I will do everything I can to make your experience with me a positive one. If it means a return or a refund for an item that doesn't match the description, it's not a problem.

You can help me (and other sellers) with this by:

1- Contact me right away. If you wait weeks to bring this to a seller's attention, they will probably ask questions.
2- If possible, provide a photo of the item or issue. A picture is worth 1,000 words. For example: if you claim something is dirty, it is very helpful for the seller to see a picture so it can be determined if something was overlooked, or if it was damaged in shipping, or something else. Sellers aren't trying to inconvenience anyone, they are just curious to know the circumstances and would be happy with a snapshot taken from your phone.
3- Specifically say how you would like the situation to be handled. Most sellers would love you if your message was 50% about what went wrong and 50% how to you'd like them to fix it.
4- Don't post hasty feedback before the transaction has been completed. Removing negative feedback is difficult and very discouraging to the seller who is returning your messages in a timely way and is offering suggestions.
