Super rare Northern Soul 45 by The MAJESTICS. (I Love Her So Much) It Hurts Me / Girl Of My Dreams (Linda 121) The 45 is in VG condition. Labels look nice the flip has a large x in black marker. Man...I hate grading records like this. The record looks vg+, but with closer inspection it has a edge/heat warp at the beginning. On the It Hurts Me side it doesn't skip but has a swooshing sound that you can hear pretty good until the vocals kick in then it covered up pretty nice. It almost dissapears 1/2 way through the track. The flip jumps/skips at the beginning on my Technics but plays on my cheaper turntables. The warp is minor and it shouldn't jump, but it does. I think someone who knows how to fix warps could fix his easily. If I was DJ'ing (and I do) I would have no problem playing the It Hurts Me side. So since this is such a sought after record let's start it at $149.99 and see what happens. If you are super picky about condition you would be advized not to bid. O.K. I went to a friend's house and cleaned the 45 on his VPI and it seems to sound better now. I am adding a sound file so you can listen for yourselves. I've left in a little silence before and after the track so you can hear the flaws. It's no longer a swoosh but more of a crackly sound, not bad though. One thing though...You have to track the 45 at 2.5 grams, anything less and the tone arm doesn't want to get started, so tracking it at 2.5 gives it a little nudge. Here's the mp3.....
