One of only 100 copies pressed!
The vinyl is in superb condition with just a couple of the very lightest marks visible under just the right light. The surface has a great shine and the record appears to have been extremely rarely played OR extremely well looked after. The sleeve is also in great condition. The sleeve has been made by glueing printed sheets to a blank sleeve and there are a couple of slight creases on the rear label where this was inexpertly done. The corners of the sleeve are lightly bumped. Overall this item is in excellent condition especially considering its rarity and near 35 year age.
Madrigal was formed in 1973 by a merger of an unaccompanied vocal group and two singers/guitarists. Most of their concerts were given in Gloucestershire. There music was a blend of folk and country sounds, using well known songs and original material written by John Cook (the lead instrumentalist with Paul Driscoll as co-guitarist. There sound was augmented on this album with violin and mellotron.
The tracks presented here include arrangements by Steeleye Span and versions of songs by Paul Simon, John Denver & Burt Bacharch!
