UK PRIVATE 1973 PRESS Mega-rare MAD100
Very rare private pressing UK folk album (only 100 copies published). Madrigal were formed in 1973 by a merger of an unaccompanied vocal group and two singer/guitarists. Most of their concerts were performed in Gloucestershire. Their music is a blend of folk and country sounds using well known songs and original material written by John Cook. John is the lead instrumentalist with Paul Driscoll as co guitarist. Their sound is augmented by Shane Jackson on violin and on one track by Carolyn Whettell on mellotron. Vocals are supplied by all nine members of the group.
Hard to find item and usually traded at £180.00 - £260.00 offer as you see now in other eBay auctions, but here starting at a relatively low price.
