Description
This is one of the worlds rarest 7” pressings from Madonna which is from France.
The Mega Rare Madonna Rescue Me French Withdrawn 7” single
The single was originally pressed up with this fantastic full frontal in bed nude picture sleeve then it was immediately withdrawn.
Once the sleeve was seen by Warner Bros France executives it was deemed to raunchy and the label did not want to suffer any controversy with the single so warner Bros France Un-approved the sleeve and immediately called for it to be Withdrawn from circulation.
All existing copies were destroyed and the pressing plant order was cancelled.
The picture sleeve was later replaced to reveal Madonna from the only from the shoulders upwards,this version was the most common sleeve that most countries adopted to use from here on for the picture cover release of this single.
Very few copies of this totally naked sleeve version survived from the pressing plant and from within Warner Bros. Making this sleeve one of the Worlds most sought after unique 7” sleeves of Madonna in existance.
To find a copy in this perfect MINT condition is an almost impossible rare find, it is almost 20 years old!
And in amazing condition.
In 19 years I have only seen 2 other copies for sale of this rare withdran sleeve.
This sleeve was found too inapropriate and therefore resulting in the picture sleeve been withdrawn from circulation only a handful were unaccounted for.
Please see all photo’s I would guess due to the extreme scarcity of this release only a handful of collectors in the world own this release.
Lucky Records in France sold there only copy and it is listed as one of the most saught after 7” singles in the world by a very well known Madonna collectors site.
A low reserve price has been set but even if it does not make the reserve I may still sell to the highest bidder so please bid wth confidence.
The single will be shipped via registered mail and proof of posting will be obtained but please remember I am not responsible for items once they have left my hands and are in the postal system.
The single will be shipped with strong cardboard and in a padded envelope.
