MADONNA Bedtime Stories LP
1994 Maverick 9362 45767 1. Germany. An absolutely perfect, gorgeous copy of this stunning gatefold LP, never played. I am the original owner, and have kept the LP in a poly sleeve since I bought it in 1994. The vinyl had never been out of the original lyric inner sleeve before these pictures were taken. This ultra high-quality German pressing looks glorious, with superb gloss, and will undoubtedly sound glorious too. The custom pastel labels are mint - sharp and clear. The lyric inner sleeve is near mint, lightly wrinkled, but otherwise perfect (see photos).
The LP jacket is a knockout - it looks absolutely brand new. I'll call it near mint, because it was never sealed, but really, this jacket is in unbelievable, straight-from-the-factory shape. There is no hint of shelf wear on any edges and no ring wear of any kind. There is a single small crease along the top edge (in the O of Madonna), a couple very tiny nicks along the opening, and the slightest hint of a ding in the lower right hand corner (see detail photos). I practically had to go over this record with a magnifying glass to find any defects at all to photograph. This release obviously benefits from the fantastic German production values and precision engineering: edges are perfectly square, images are very sharp with no hint of fading or yellowing, the materials are obviously very high quality. This is a sumptuous and beautiful example of the large-scale LP format used to perfection.
