MADE IN GERMANY - MADE IN GERMANY
A superb condition copy of this sought after and seldom seen 1971 prog/psych/Krautrock German 1st press gem, on the metronome record label, STEREO, ST-MLP-15.416
The dead wax matrix numbers are :
Side 1 ST - MLP - 15416 - A
Side 2 ST - MLP - 15416 - B
The appearance and overall condition of the flat and nicely weighted vinyl is excellent plus (EX+). Both sides have retained an impressive jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight come across as being unmarked. Even with close scrutiny under a bright light each side of the vinyl comes across as unmarked with no discernible blemishes. Clearly this record has been played only a few times. Brilliant condition!
The labels are excellent plus (EX+). Lovely smooth textured dark blue and lilac background with black and white text and the metronome logo and colouring all in pristine condition - not even the usual one or two faint spindle trails : perfect!
The condition of the outer sleeve is excellent plus (EX+). Remarkably the outer sleeve is still in it's original cellophane wrapping which has been broken on the opening edges for vinyl access, but clearly this record has not been inserted or retracted from it's sleeve too many times. All of the edges remain firm with no scuffing (there is just one tiny nick on the bottom edge and another towards the bottom of the spine - each very trivial). The spine also remains rigid with all spine text perfectly intact, the opening edges are firm with no fraying, and each corner remains a near perfect right angle with no rubbing at all apart from the bottom right corner which has minimal scuffing only. There is a small circular deletion hole at the top right corner of the sleeve. All colours, artwork, and text remain beautifully vibrant and crisp, and with no unwanted writing or doodles...near perfect in fact!
Finally, the quality of the audio is excellent plus (EX+). Excellent tone and clarity throughout, even at higher volume and on higher frequencies. No skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks or background crackle...simply great, crystal clear "super stereo" audio. Clearly this record has been played only a few times. This is vintage, early 70's classic prog rock with some wonderful guitar and organ riffs throughout and all making for a great listen.
The tracks are :
Side 1 :
1. MADE IN GERMANY
2. THE ARROW AND THE SONG
3. FIND YOUR WAY
4. PAIN OF WAR
5. LEISURE
Side 2 :
1. DON'T FORGET THE TIME
2. AWAY
3. MAN IN HISTORY
4. CUSTOM OF LIVE
Comes with original, die-cut & plain white inner sleeve with no tears, rips, seam splits and barely any creasing - remaining fully functional.
In summary a truly brilliant condition and immensely presentable copy of this increasingly sought after 1971 German 1st press prog/Krautrock gem - every track makes for a great listen and will only continue to increase in value.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 50 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but during the past 30 years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boot sales, auctions, and even through putting up a "vinyl wanted" notice in my wife's shop! I am now retired and take great delight in being able to spend more time scouring the country and attending boot sales and auctions in the hope of unearthing more vinyl gems...I am 65 years of age now and am still discovering bands and music of the 60's and 70's that I have never come across before. Wonderful! Richard
My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no quibble" refund policy.
On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl thick cardboard "crucifix" style mailer along with at least two thick cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in separating the record from the outer sleeve in order to help prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.
For this item postage & packaging will be UK £3.00, Royal Mail 1st class, signed for;
Continental Europe £11, and Rest of the World £15 respectively, Royal Mail 1st class international Airmail tracked and signed for
I DO discount post & packaging costs for multiple purchases. I do NOT profit from postage.
Good luck with your bidding!
NOTE : My vinyl descriptions comply with the official Record Collector vinyl grading guidelines :

Excellent
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and /or creasing.

Bad
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
