Description

Here's an album from MACHITO titled AFRO-CUBAN JAZZ SUITE. This 10" LP is an original pressing released on the Clef Records label, MG C-505, in 1953 (originally released two years earlier on the Mercury label with the same number). Cover is by David Stone Martin and has a "Clef" sticker over the "Mercury" in the corner.
Personnel includes: Chico O'Farrill, Buddy Rich, Charlie Parker, Flip Phillips, Machito and the machit Rhythm Section.
Tracks include:

  • Afro-Cuban Jazz Suite Cancion and Mambo
  • Afro-Cuban Jazz Suite 6/8, Jazz and Rhumba Abierta

The cover has bumped corners, 1" seam split top center, and some overall rubbing. Vinyl has a few sleeve scuffs but looks virtually unplayed otherwise. It is in NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION.
