CLEAN 1969 original vinyl in gatefold cover...the 2nd SPIRIT album, and they hit the charts with the cool smash "I Got A Line On You" ...but that's far from all...
The infectiously wonderful "It Shall Be", "Aren't You Glad" "It's All The Same "Dream Within A Dream" are all TOP FLIGHT Spirit nuggets... Two of the most stunning songs feature wonderful double track leads by guitarist Randy California on the songs “Poor Richard and the classic “It’s All The Same.” Though numbers like “Aren’t You Glad,” “Darlin’ If” and “I Got A Line On You” are better than anything Cream laid down on their first outing ... yet Spirit never managed to break through to the big time, as they so richly deserved. The Family That Plays Together features an impressive mix of garage, jazz, psych and infectious haunting pop gems, intricate and deep, they're never boring...not many 'rock' bands could play like this!
