PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! FINAL COLLECTION COPY ... 50 years ago....

MINT! = here is a nice 1967 BRITISH original with laminated cover on the highly collected DERAM Records ....(see condition details below)

                         *** TOP COPY  ***

It's special anytime you are lucky enough to find this, the first TEN YEARS AFTER album with a collectible cover ...almost ALL of the covers to this album have heavy wear due to the dark cover -- it just didn't wear well ...here's a special 1967 original issue then, MINT clean and collectible ...it's 50 years old, the very first TEN YEARS AFTER was never an easy find as a first pressing...

Singer/guitarist Alvin Lee got his start as a professional musician with the Notingham UK-based The Jaybirds. Together with keybaordist Chuck Churchill, bassist Leo Lyon and drummer Ric Lee, the group became a popular local club draw, eventually drawing the attention of manager and agent Chris White who began scoring them gigs around the country, including a stint in Hamburg, Germany. Their blues-rock sound becoming increasingly popular, Decca's Deram subsidiary signed the band in late 1967.

Co-produced by Mike Vernon and Gus Dudgeon, 1967's "Ten Years After" is an interesting debut. Most of the performances on the album feature a strong blues influenced sound; several tunes such as the eight minute plus 'Help Me' are in the directon the band would follow, ld by the sizzling guitar theatrics of young Alvin Lee (this is 1967 remember!). Producer Mike Vernon didn't waste a great deal of time or effort on the recording sessions since most of the album features a rather raw and under-produced sound, That's not meant as a criticism since that laid back sound gives the album quite a bit of its appeal. Lee's nasal delivery checks in with the TYA riviting style they would be known for -- the enthusiasm is contagious and the man's guitar chops are undeniable - check out his playing on the Lee original ' Losing the Dogs' and 'Don't Want You Woman'. in 1967 it's obvious that blues are clearly their first love, but equally impressive are the jazzy edge tracks such as the opener 'I Want To Know' and 'Love Until I Die". Yet another favorite are the jazz-cum psych influences on 'Feel It For Me' display.
