NOTE: eBay has implemented its new FEEDBACK policy to which ANY customer for ANY reason or ANY excuse can give sellers (i.e. "us") negative feedback. Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound'  to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed.  Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.

We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week.  Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most.   We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERSWe often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping.  We are happy to do thatPlease pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.   To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current.   Most importantly, we appreciate your business.

CLEAN (M-) Original 1972 FIRST PRESS *VINYL*

                NUGGETS

Original Artyfacts From The Psychedelic Era

...USA -Elektra Records -  7E 2006

SCARCE (and clean!)  1972 Original VINYL first pressing TWO LP set featuring a 27 song cast of classic sixties garage & psychedelic "nuggets" ... the first of such compilations ...widely copied, but never equaled!

Comes with both original 1972 Elektra label inner sleeves as well, the original owner slipped off the outer shrink wrapper (complete with the outer wrapper sticker) and put it over one of the inner sleeves...

Compiled by rock critic and future Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye, 1972's Nuggets was the anthology responsible for reviving interest in mid-'60s American garage rock which by '72 had been cast off and forgotten. Now legendary, this first pressing 2-Lp set was intended as the ideal 'cream of the crop' of choice garage & psych classics in the 27-song selection. All important permutations of the mid-'60s garage style are present: primitive fuzz, garage-folk-rock, psychedelic dementia, protest rock, etc. Major heroes the Music Machine, the Seeds, the Shadows of Knight, the Electric Prunes, the Standells, the Sonics, the Chocolate Watch Band, and many others are all represented. If it's possible to give a five-star rating, it's tempting to do so here. No one could have possibly satisfied all rabid garage collectors withthis set of classic songs, but that's not really the point here; the object was to provide a wide-ranging box set of '60s garage rock that would entertain, represent the considerable span of garage styles,  —  presenting the songs in the best possible quality (in mono), whether from the master tapes or best existing copies. Still after, what, 36 years on, it is the best investment possible for those who thirst for more '60s garage rock with a track selection geared toward cream-of-the-crop quality and variety rather than narrow collector prejudices.
